Like the nearby neighbor of Fairview Mount, Mount Saint Piran is just a hike, but with a fine view it is worth doing. The view of surrounding peak is outstanding. An ascent of Mount Niblock and Mount Whyte could be achieved in the same day.

Hike pass Mirror Lake, the trail cuts back sharply to the right at 3.3 km. Within a few minutes and before Little Beehives, a trail, much narrower, heads left into the trees. The final rising switchbacks grant a beautiful view of a rugged landscape of peaks and glaciers.

To the northwest of the summit, Hector Lake and Bath Glacier are evident, while closer by, snowcapped Mount Lefroy and Mount Temple rule the heights.
