The Aylmer Pass and Lookout trail features views of the largest body
of water, Lake Minnewanka, in Banff National Park, and the trail takes
you from shoreline to timberline.
The first 7.8 kilometers of the journey follows the north shore of Lake
Minnewanka over gentle, undemanding trail to Aylmer Pass junction. The
trail splits when you reach the junction, turn left, then the trail starts
to climb steeply to Aylmer Lookout and Pass. The trail splits again at
about 2.3 kilometers from the junction. The pass is stright ahead, and
the lookout is right.....
