The trail has a very pretty beginning, the first 300 meter follows along
the north side of Rowe Creek, where a series of cascades slides over one
of the most colorful streams beds imaginable.
Beyond the creek and 3.9 kilometers into the hike, the trail reaches
a junction. Turn left to reach Lower Rowe Lake in 0.2 kilometers. From
the junction, the trail continues its climb to the upper lakes, eventualy
emerging into the Rowe Meadow at the head of the valley. A bridge at the
far end of the meadow spans stream and the reaches another junction. Turn
right for Tamarack Trail and ascend to Lineham Ridge. While the trail
to Upper Rowe Lakes cuts left and climbs a steep slope. Within minites,
Upper Rowe Lakes come into view. The larger of the two Upper Rowe Lakes
is backed against the cliffs of the Great Divide.
