The trail to the top of the Ball Hills is probably the finest view of Maligne Lake and its surrouding peaks.
Half an hour into the hike, Opal Hills reveals itself in the east. Soon after, the trail reaches the peak-rimmed, open meadows of timberline. The trail ends at a high viewpoint, once the site of a forest lookout tower. .........
