Heart Mountain is a good fun, popular scramble, which can also be considered
one of the season starters. Its rocky ridge looks difficult, but nowhere
are there difficulties comparable to those of the ascent.
Follow the trail as it climbs rapidly up the right side of the "heart"
shape. A ridge eases at two-thirds of the way up, to continue, it is necessary
to scramble up a steep 3-meter high wall. The trail soon leads to the
top of the first summit, but a higher second summit lies just 25 minutes
beyond.
