Ha Ling Peak is a popular season starter. The ascent is short and simple,
but may require some minor scramblings near the peak.
After climbing 400 vertical meters, the western panorama unfolds as it
reaches the tree line. The trail angles up to the right toward the ridge
and then heads up and left to gain the final 300 meters. The drop down
of the northeast side is a real contrast to the gentler ascent slopes.
